Susie Pratt

Founder, Principal

Susie is a writer, speaker and strategist with over twenty years of experience in the sector. In her role as both teacher and trainer, as well as thought partner, she has helped numerous clients live out their mission with increased clarity and efficacy.  Susie’s early career experience in both research and evaluation, as well as fundraising, has allowed her insight into the operating reality of nonprofit organizations.  It has also increased both her understanding of, and admiration for, the people who run them.

Susie holds a B.A. from Colgate University with Honors in English Literature and an A.M. from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. She is on the board of the Franklin Square Foundation and Evanston’s Books and Breakfast program. Susie’s book, More or Less: Essays from a Year of No Buying, won the EastOver Press Nonfiction Prize and was published by EastOver in February 2022.


Jenny Richards

Founder, Principal

Jenny has been working with nonprofit and philanthropic organizations for over twenty years - providing critical insight and analysis to leaders, coaching and training staff and board members, and facilitating strategy and evaluation workshops. Jenny enjoys asking tough questions, listening and facilitating meaningful conversations with leaders to produce tangible results for their organizations. Having spent her early career working in Latin America, Jenny is energized by getting to know people from different backgrounds and cultures – and looking for common ground that unites them and fosters a shared sense of purpose.

Jenny received a B.A. in Spanish from Dartmouth College and a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Moran Center for Youth Advocacy. Jenny is an avid runner and practitioner of yoga, and loves exploring new places - especially while hiking or paddling in a canoe.

Michael Miro

Michael is the founder and principal of Shorepath Consulting, which offers a range of services to nonprofits and small businesses. He brings a creative, interdisciplinary lens to all engagements and knows how to help clients make productive, meaningful progress on their goals.

Michael has a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Kellogg School of Management and an M.A. in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. He is a Leadership Evanston alum and currently serves as board president of the Ridgeville Foundation and Lending for Evanston and Northwestern Development (LEND). He is the Chair of Bike the Ridge and served on the Housing and Community Development Act Committee for the City of Evanston for five years.
